How can i hang dry my clothes inside without them becoming stiff?

February 3rd, 2010 · 2 Comments · Yahoo Answers

So my dryer broke so i cant use it anymore and i live in an apartment so i cant hang my clothes outside. That leaves me to hang them somewhere inside.

What ive been doing is hanging them up in my closet with clothes hangers. Theres not really any other place to hang them in the house were they would stay clean and away from dust and all that. The thing is they still get stiff and feel rough.

Is there any way to make them feel soft like out of the dryer?

    grrr
    i hate this
so what i do is i make sure to use MORE then the suggested amount of fabric softner in the wash and then i hang dry them–but then i cheat–i put them in the dryer on TUMBLE (no heat) to beat out the stiffness, although i do find using more fabric softner does help also
    good luck

Try some fabric softner, and when you get them out of the washer, before you hang them up, shake them out a little. When they are dry go over them with an iron turned on the lowest setting. I do this with a lot of my laundry, and it works.
